Here’s a photo of me being… a cat.  LOL.  It was kind of awkward to be wearing Hello Kitty (or just plain kitty) items because I’m in Disneyland, not Hello Kitty / Sanrio Land! Haha. Not shown in this picture but aside from the Kitty hat and glasses, my bag and iphone case are cat items too.  Who cares anyway? Sorry, not sorry =^_^=

My cute parents :3 So happy and blessed that we finally had the time to travel outside the Philippines. So thrilled to be in Disneyland with my family! 🙂

Rode the Disney train to get a glimpse of the whole place.  I can tell my brother was disappointed because nothing happened much.  But maybe we’re just hungry.  We ended up eating in McDonald’s (again! D:) because the food’s pricey everywhere hohoho.

We got there at around noon so by the time we finished eating, we headed straight to the Disney parade area! We can’t afford to not have good seats because we were very much excited for this!! 😀

You probably have no idea how happy I was during the parade. My brother and I almost cried, really.  I can already feel the tears in my eyes as soon as the Disney characters walked past us.  As I said,we even got there waaay before 3pm just to make sure we get the best view 😛 This was the highlight of my day!

My father asked me, “Who is this Teddy Bear again?” LOL

I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who noticed that there were so many Filipino dancers / performers! One of them even talked to me and posed for a picture 🙂 There were cute *guy* performers as well, or maybe I’m just too biased because I’ve always liked Chinitos 😀

image

By the end of the parade, the kids were allowed to follow the characters and interact with them.  😀 Ha! Jealous!

Mommy said that my younger cousins wo uld be happy if they were with us.  Nah.  Don’t think so.  My younger cousins didn’t even know these Disney characters and it makes me super sad 🙁 Kids these days spent too much time playing with video games and their ipads, they have no time to watch amazing Disney shows.  LOL.  Bottomline is, I think kids from the 90’s can appreciate Disneyland more. Just an opinion, though.

Eeeee dream come true! Princess castle FTW!

Good gawd.  Roller coaster!!! I looked happy in the picture because it was BEFORE the ride.  It was the most memorable ride for me, ever.  I’ve NEVER been in a roller coaster before. I hate extreme rides a lot because I get scared pretty easily (see: Enchanted Kingdom post).  But I thought this one’s for kids especially it’s in Disneyland and there were Grizzly Bears and stuff.  Boy, I was so so wrong.  I was cursing the whole roller coaster ride while my Mom and Brother remained calm the whole time.  How is that possible?!

Of course Papa didn’t go with us since he’s more scared than I was. If I’m scared of things like this, my father’s fear of heights and roller coasters is a hundred times more.  LOL. Didn’t regret this though.  Yes, I was scared.  But I was super proud of myself and at least I have an interesting story to tell in the future 😉

Prettiest part of Disneyland, in my opinion.

LOL my brother rode this alone and he was forced to sit beside a couple.  Awkward. :))

We were dead tired (well, not really.  Just Papa and Tita.  Mommy, my brother, and I still have the energy to walk around :D) by around 7 in the evening.  Glad we passed by the Mickey Mouse theater to watch this special Disney film in 4D! It was soooo good, even my parents enjoyed it 🙂 And 3D Ariel is the prettiest! More Disney princesses films in 3D please!

The place is so beautiful at night with all the lights.  It sucks that I have no decent camera to capture its beauty T__T Next time, I promise!

image

When it was time for the fireworks, my brother and I watched it from the Sleeping Beauty Castle.  My father took this picture because they wanted to sit down and just watch the show from afar.

Once again, I teared up when the fireworks started.  The fireworks were not as amazing as you imagine, but it’s all about the show as a whole! And the songs!! Oh my god.  I posted a 15-second clip here 🙂 There are youtube videos of the fireworks display but I think it was nothing compared to when you see it in person.  I feel like a kid again and I just know that everyone around me felt the same 🙂

image

Disneyland was smaller than I expected but at least we enjoyed the experience even for just half the day.  This was a gift from my parents and Tita, my brother and I didn’t spend a single cent for this trip.  We were given a choice between Hong Kong and Singapore actually.  We chose Hong Kong without thinking because of Disneyland!

Will I go back to Hong Kong again, given the chance? Of course! Disneyland is enough to convince me to go back there.  Hopefully, I can visit Hong Kong again.  Three days were not enough to appreciate the country! And there were so many places that we haven’t explored yet.  Someday, someday…. 🙂

So this ends my Hong Kong travel post! Thank you for reading and I hope there will be a next travel post from me soon 😀
