Baler
Late post, as usual XD
Went to Baler with my cousins (*gasp* this is the first time I went out with them without my parents lol) right after I resigned from work. Ah, the timing was just perfect. I desperately needed a break that time. Haha.
We stopped by Bea’s house in Nueva Ecija to pick them up.
Touchdown Baler! We left Bulacan around 2 in the morning and we arrived before 9am, I think? I was asleep for more than half the trip so I’m not sure 😛
I’m glad I decided to come 🙂 I rarely go out with my cousins especially when we were kids. Now that my brother and I are working already, my parents are not that strict any more 🙂
We’re a large group, aren’t we? And that’s only a third of my cousins! We have a really large family. ♥
Ate longsilog for breakfast as soon as we arrived (no pictures???). The meal was quite expensive and we were not too satisfied. Meh.
Next stop: Museo de Baler!
We didn’t notice that most of us girls were wearing stripes! Haha.
Next is the popular 600-year old Balete Tree. It was so huge! Too bad climbing the tree wasn’t allowed any longer. There were tons of pictures from this because there were two teenage boys who took photos with our cameras and iphones better than us. Haha. The shots were amazing! Have to get myself a copy. :))
Btw all pictures here are from different cameras! T___T
I was informed that we were going to go swim by the water falls that day, but I didn’t know we’d be hiking to get there?!?! I was wearing slippers that were too…. slippery huhuhu. I had such a hard time walking so I felt like a burden to others, tbh.
It was a long hike, about 40 minutes or so. We even had to ride a tricycle along the way. But when we reached the end, it was SO WORTH IT! ♥ I don’t think the pictures can justify how beautiful the Mother Falls (Ditumabo Falls) is!
See, I’m not yet in this picture. Haha, I was probably still struggling that time. Hahaha I suck at outdoor activities (or pretty much anything lol).
Thank God for waterproof cameras! I should probably get that Sony Xperia Z1 soon, yes?
After our adobo lunch (I swear our family makes THE BEST adobo haha) we got really tired and decided to just rest. The boys went out to check the beach, though. They all ended up surfing without us.
When we woke up it’s time for dinner already!!! We went to this Eat All You Can place, Gerry Shan, and food was good with unlimited iced tea. It’s pretty cheap for P200 as well. BUT most of my cousins had stomachache that night until the next morning! Probably because of the food, but I wonder why I didn’t experience discomfort??? We all ate the same food! I guess eating expired stuff makes the stomach stronger. HAHAHAHA LOLJK.
After dinner, I went with Ate Rochelle, Ate Tin, and Ate Jobel to explore the beach front and other facilities around the area. We took lots of pictures too. XD
We wanted to eat here but the waiter told us that the food will be served IN TWO HOURS!!! We just wanted some fries and milkshakes! Time is precious so we didn’t wait. Ha.
The boys playing beer pong. I obviously don’t go out a lot as this is the first time I witnessed this game -_-”
We all slept in one big room with only one bathroom! Haha. I think it’s a good idea to not get a beautiful room because we might get lazy and not come out to enjoy Baler. Haha! But because there was 16 of us, it’s a pain to wait for your turn to shower! LOL.
More pictures up next 🙂
