Call me shallow but I only have three international travel goals: Japan, Korea, and Taiwan.  It’s not that I never wanted to visit other countries because I would love to explore the world too.  It’s just for the past decade or so, my heart is already set on these three places. About a month ago, I got to visit my first love—Taiwan.  Of course.

So many people asked me, “Why Taiwan?” Most of them thought I was looking for a job, or that I’d be visiting a family member, etc.  I was like, “Why not? It’s been my dream since 2003!” *cue Qing Fei De Yi aka Meteor Garden’s opening song* LOL. I wasn’t embarrassed when I admitted that Taiwan meant so much to me because that country introduced me to Asian Entertainment.  If not for TwDramas and TwPop, I wouldn’t have discovered Japanese and Korean Entertainment XD My life wouldn’t be as colorful if not for this, heehee.  Even though I am not as active as before, Taiwanese dramas and songs still stir up all the feelings inside of me :))  It’s about time I get to know the country better!

Finally used my Mickey Mouse Luggage (prize from Shopwise Christmas Party!) and Reebok Backpack (from Purchasing Exchange Gift :P)

We booked our flight last July 2015.  It was on sale, only around PhP 4,000 for our round trip ticket.  Jane and I actually wanted to go there together (#TeamZaizai) but when we were talking about it, I just resigned from my current work, soooo, money problems.  Haha.  Good thing Dex and Cherith *finally* asked us to book a trip last year!  As of July 2015, eight of us confirmed but by 2016, only four of us remained.  Haha, oh well.

Pretty passport holder from zip_ph@instagram!

Departure: January 13, 10 PM
Arrival: January 14, 12 AM

Upon arrival at Taoyuan International Airport, we were informed that it’s 18 degrees cold outside (WINTER FTW!).  I was only wearing my Starbucks jacket which didn’t provide any warmth at all ;___; We rode a bus to go to the main station and tried to walk but since it’s almost 1am and the cold is getting worse, we decided to ride a cab instead. I was so dizzy when we reached the hostel. *Surprise surpise!*

Our suuuper cute hostel in Taipei, Sunny Hostel! Jane blogged about it here~ Please check it out 🙂 It’s definitely one of my favorite places now and if ever we come back to Taipei, I’ll make sure we’d stay here again 🙂

We were greeted by a very ke ai handwritten note from the hosts 🙂 So cute! ❤︎

Inside our room~ Too bad I wasn’t able to take many pictures huhu.  The bed was so comfy, I fell asleep in an instant. Haha. My friends went out to eat at a nearby convenience store but I was too sick to move.  Gah, I miss this bed already. I miss the hostel, I miss the hosts, I miss Taiwan.  HUHUHUHUHU I want to go back! *wails*

Anyway, here’s Taipei Sunny Hostel’s Facebook page.  I/We definitely recommend! <3

Our view! Woot woot scooter country! Peace Park!

We compiled all our pictures from the trip and we almost have 3,000 pictures (!!!!!) from our four-day stay.  LOL.  I’d probably be busy this month sorting everything out  (and hopefully blog days 1-4) + I really need to find a shop who prints photo books 🙂 Let me know if you have suggestions! Thank you! 🙂

  2. Hmm it looks like your blog ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I’ll just
sum it up what I had written and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog.
I as well am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to the whole thing.

Do you have any suggestions for first-time
blog writers? I’d genuinely appreciate it.
